Susan Johnson of InsideOut Yoga of White Stone, recently led a pair of weeklong yoga retreats in Costa Rica for 28 yogis from around the country. The theme was “Off the Grid.”
The retreats took place at The Sanctuary at Two Rivers, a solar-powered, sustainably built property encompassing 40 acres of lush jungle, exotic fruit orchards, waterfalls, monkeys and other indigenous wildlife. Each week included yoga, meditation, hiking, zipline and boating excursions and The Sanctuary’s world-renowned “Gaia Gourmet” vegetarian cuisine. The retreats also featured IOY’s signature happiness workshops, led by Ginger Houck.
“All of our retreats are about elevating your spirit through experiences, practices and community,” said Johnson, who has been leading yoga retreats since 2010. “Our focus in Costa Rica was about tapping into your own light and power while inspiring and empowering others.”
