Abingdon Episcopal Church, White Marsh, held its inaugural Abingdon Day celebration on Saturday, welcoming approximately 400 guests onto the historic property, according to Michelle Pollock, senior warden and chair for Abingdon Day.
This event offered something for everyone, she said. Children enjoyed train rides, face-painting, monster slides, and art. Adults toured the church, were told about the current archaeological digs, browsed over 25 vendors, and bid on raffle gifts donated from local businesses. All ages took part in the food, music, and multiple cake walks.
“We would like to acknowledge Troop 113 who worked all day as volunteers,” Pollock said. “We would also like to thank the service organizations and individuals who generously purchased tickets for 100 +children and families to attend.
