‘Idioms in Art’ exhibit opens Friday at Bay School

“Idioms in Art,” a Bay School Community Arts Center exhibit, opens with a reception from 5-7 p.m. Friday in the Art Speaks Gallery on Main Street in Mathews.
Participating artists have taken their favorite popular expressions and illustrated them using all types of media, said a press release. “Get your ducks in a row” and “time flies” are just a couple of the idioms that were chosen for illustration.
Among the mediums used by the 21 participating artists are paint, fiber, jewelry, photography, and pottery.
The reception will include drinks, finger food, art, artists, “and a few games,” said the release.
The exhibit will be on display through March 24.
