Mobjack public school had an ice cream festival last Friday evening, which was liberally patronized. The friends of the school were much gratified at the results. The pupils of the school made the evening more enjoyable by furnishing a short program of songs and recitations.

100 YEARS AGOThursday, Nov. 30, 1922from the Gloucester Gazette
Constable J.A. Eastwood, accompanied by Sheriff Field and Mr. J.H. Twyford, made a search Monday in the woods at the head of Mr. A.H. Robins’s mill pond and found 25 to 30 gallons of illicit mash. No still or liquor could be found. The mash was destroyed and one house in the vicinity searched, but no evidence discovered beyond the mash.
