There will be a strawberry and ice cream festival on June 4 at the old home of Mr. Cornelius Hughes from 4 to 10 p.m. for the benefit of the parsonage. There will be plenty of strawberries, ice cream and cake; there will also be music. Come everybody.
Mr. Jenifer Garnett arrived in Mathews on Tuesday after passing the examination in Washington for admission to the Naval Academy.
The revival service of Oak Grove Church at Bohannon closed last week with the accession of nine members to the church.
Mr. R.F. Powell of Cricket Hill left Monday for Deep Water Shoal Light House.

Mr. R.L. Mickleborough, prominent poultryman and proprietor of a large hatchery near Bohannon, has recently received 100 pure-bred day-old chicks from the Pennsylvania Poultry Farms. The chicks cost him $1.25 each and will be used for breeding purposes.
