Hugh C. Wyatt, 93, of Port Charlotte, Florida, died on Friday, May 5, 2023, at Tidewell Hospice House in Port Charlotte.
Hugh was born on November 10, 1929 in Baraboo, Wisconsin, to the late Harry and Mabel Wyatt. He was a retired Commander, United States Coast Guard, and a member of Baraboo Masonic Lodge No. #34 F&AM. He moved to Port Charlotte in 2008 from Gloucester, Virginia, where he spent 12 years traveling the world near and far with his significant other, Lucille Stock.
Survived by daughters, Mary “Liz” Simmons of Gloucester, and Coleen Nordwall and Kitty Russell, both of Duluth, Minn.; son, Thomas Stock of Custer, South Dakota; 10 grandchildren, and 16 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife, Margaret L. Wyatt, who died in 2004.
A memorial service will be in Bellamy Memorial Cemetery, Gloucester, on Friday, July 14, 2023, at 11 a.m. with Military Honors and also Masonic Rites
