Some slick ball game the Hudgins Red Sox put over on the Mathews C.H., second nine, Thursday, June 27, on the high school diamond; score 8-2 in favor of Red Sox; five innings. Some score for such a short game. Wonder what Hudgins boys would have done for them had they played 9 innings? Say fellows, you want to hurry up and practice some, and come up to our diamond and we will put another on you. —Red Sox.

There were several very pleasant informal entertainments in the North River neighborhood the past week: on Saturday a dance at Elmington, on Thursday a surprise party at Waverley, and Friday evening an entertainment and sail at The Outlook.
Miss Barton gave a launch party Monday in honor of her sister-in-law, Mrs. Barton, who leaves this week for New York.
There was quite a large attendance at the picnic Wednesday at Toddsbury.
