The Mathews Market Days Committee has reorganized with Morgan Hudgins as the new chair and Christine Johnson as co-chair. Hudgins is also serving as treasurer.
Johnson said the committee is meeting regularly via conference call and online services, planning for the festival that is held the weekend after Labor Day.
“We fully expect the event to be held this September,” Johnson said, “but of course will make decisions with regard to the virus and health concerns if and when needed. At this time, we are full steam ahead in our planning with the mindset that Market Days is ON. It is way too soon to speculate on a change this far out.”
Johnson said the website mathewsmarketdays.org has been completely overhauled by Morgan Hudgins and that vendor applications “have been rolling in” leading to high expectations for the 2020 festival.
Other committee members include Linda Bradford, secretary; Terry Dixon, Rosalie Brown, Sharon Phillips, Linda Hernandez, Paul James and Jessica Christensen....
