The Colonial Beekeepers Association will conduct a National Honey Bee Day celebration on Saturday at Brent and Becky’s Bulbs, Ware Neck.
Activities from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. will include demonstrating how honey is extracted from the comb, honey tastings, and information about bees.
Vendors will be on hand. Gloucester Master Gardeners will tell how to plant a garden friendly to pollinators; a mead tasting, information from Bee City, honey-based beauty products, and hive openings are all part of the event.
Talks include The Amazing Honey Bee at 10:30 and How to be a Beekeeper at 12:30. No registration is required.
