Homer S. (Sonny) Davis Jr., 65, of Mathews, died Wednesday, May 9, 2012 surrounded by his wife, Gaylen, and daughters, Terri and Chanell Davis.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Homer Sharp Davis Sr. and Fannie Victoria Davis; two brothers, Stephen Ford and Wayne Davis; and one sister, Margaret Davis. He is survived by sisters Ruth Benton, Katherine Alexander, Fannie Elizabeth Nelson, Narcissus Taylor, Arlene Diane

Bradley and Mary Woodson, and brothers Gordon Davis and Calvin Dixon.

The funeral service was held Tuesday at Antioch Baptist Church in Susan.
