The Indian Road Chapel celebrated its homecoming service at New Mount Zion Baptist Church on Saturday, Nov. 11. Trustee Ernest Spencer of Zion Hill Baptist Church served as worship leader. George Robinson and the Men of Faith, James Redmond and the Gloucester-Mathews Male Chorus were musical guests.
Reflections were offered by Deacon Robert Berry of Zion Hill Baptist Church, Emily Sue Jones of Zion Poplars, and Mary Gordon of Union Zion Baptist Church.
Members of the Chapel Foundation are working to improve the site and eventually rebuild the chapel which was destroyed by fire in the early 1980s. Donations can be made to the Indian Road Chapel Foundation at First Advantage Federal Credit Union.
