Homecoming parades

Gloucester and Mathews high schools both celebrated their homecomings last week. Last Thursday, GHS held its homecoming parade along Gloucester’s Main Street. Among those taking part were a contingent from the GHS NJROTC program. Dr. Stefan Mygas, Gloucester High School’s principal, led the parade as its grand marshal. On Friday afternoon, Mathews held its homecoming parade. MHS Athletic Director Amy O’Neil (above) was fully decked out in Blue Devil dress as she road with members of the Mathews High School Athletic Booster Club. MHS educator Cynthia Hayes, at left, who was named the first division-wide Teacher of the Year in April, served as grand marshal for the Mathews parade.
