The Mathews High School Homecoming Court was announced last week. Members are, front row from left, seniors Fabian Cardenas Flores, Chloe Schaible, Noah Wright, Lainey Wilson, Emersyn Duff, Ethan Deptola; second row, sophomore Nora Suthard, freshman Addison Griffith, junior Suki Zheng, junior Baylee Bell, sophomore Lyla Duff, freshman Lauren Johnson; back row, sophomore Ivan Schaible, freshman Sam Tomcany, junior Colin Moore, junior Sawyer Stark, sophomore Elias Hidalgo and freshman Franklin Cardenas Flores. Homecoming festivities begin at 2 p.m. Friday with a pep rally. The parade will start at 4 p.m., going from Thomas Hunter Middle School through the courthouse area all the way to MHS. At 6 o’clock, there will be a ceremony with the crowning of the king and queen on the MHS football field, along with a performance by the school’s marching band and cheerleaders. The homecoming dance will be held at 8 p.m. Friday.
