Spring is almost here, and Saturday’s Xtra Home and Garden Showcase at the Gloucester Moose Lodge was the perfect opportunity for people to get ready for the season, and for local businesses to advertise their seasonal products and services. Clockwise from top left, Charles Burton rides a scooter his mom Britnee Burton got for him at the Toys for Tots booth; Sharon Carraux of Gloucester, right, gets a smooch from her pup “SheShe” as she talks with Teresa Fowler and Mike Trantham of Village Landscape; Karen Hurd and Laura Walker, from left, of Covabay Farms in Middlesex explain the basics of their gourmet market offerings to Walton and Melinda Rowe. Walker said the farm will open this summer, offering pasture-raised eggs, novelty meats, local and locally-sourced gourmet seafood, microgreens, recipes and more.
