The Rev. Mr. Suddith will preach at the Holly Grove Christian Church at 11 a.m. on Sunday next. Children’s Day services will be held in the evening. There will be recitations, hymns, instrumental music and an address by the Rev. Mr. Suddith.
The firm of G. S. Snead & Co. of Bohannon have a large line of dress goods and low cut shoes they are disposing of at great reduction. The goods are all new (this season’s) and up to date. Mr. Bassett, who is in charge, will take pleasure in attending to your wants.
Mr. H. E. Shimp was in town this week working on the well in the courthouse green.
A large quantity of peas
have been shipped from Bohannon at fair prices, and potatoes bid fair for a large yield. Corn planting is still going on.
The closing exercises of Fairview Private School were held Tuesday, May 28, at the home of Mr. A. J. Diggs. Medals in scholarship were awarded to Beryl Brooks and Charlie Hudgin...
