Holiness group organizes

Sunday, July 16, a written announcement was read by Mr. Jno. F. Hudgins, a prominent citizen of Mathews Co., and Secretary of the Official Board of Mathews Circuit, M.E. Church South, at Bethel requesting all parties, young and old, who were in the experience of, or in full sympathy with, the doctrine of Holiness or Entire Sanctification as preached and taught in the recent revivals of Mathews Circuit, conducted by Rev. L.J. Phaup, pastor, and Rev. E.T. Adams, of the St. Louis Annual Conference M.E. Church South, to meet at the Good Templar’s Hall in the Haven, Monday 17, 8 p.m.Notwithstanding the threatening rain of Monday evening the Hall was filled with people eager to know the exact purpose of such a meeting.
