A dozen members of the Piankatank River Ladies Golf Association traveled to The Club at Viniterra in New Kent County on July 10 to compete in two-person team match play with the ladies of Viniterra. The PRLGA Home and Away team won the match play competition by a close score of 9.5 to 8.5. A highlight of the day was a hole-in-one made by Carole Lloyd of Deltaville (above) on the 72-yard #8 hole. She made the shot with her pitching wedge, witnessed by Gail Thomasson. Team members were Kay Stout and Colleen Delua, Nina Carter and Roseann Moncure, Martha Wiggs and Christy Pitts, Vicky Gunn and Gloria Matthews, Lloyd and Thomasson, and Kelly Lowe and Christi Lewis.
