Gloucester High School golfer Dylan Hogge was the only Duke to advance from the VHSL Conference 10 Tournament last week to the 5A South Regional tourney scheduled for Monday and Tuesday at The Hamptons.
Hickory High School won the conference tournament with a team score of 325 and will advance to the regional competition along with the runners-up from Great Bridge with 328. Warwick was third with 352 and Gloucester finished fourth overall in the conference with 364.
Hogge, a senior, advanced to the regional tournament as one of the top six conference tournament golfers who were not on the two teams that qualified. He shot an 85 to lead the Dukes in the conference tourney at the Hampton golf course.
Also scoring for Gloucester were senior Connor Long with an 87, junior Skylar Blowe with 95 and senior Alex Palus with 97. Freshmen Carter West and David Grimm additionally participated and shot 104 and 112, respectively.
