Mathews High School will hold its 2024 Hall of Fame induction ceremony at 6 p.m. Friday in the school’s Harry M. Ward Auditorium.
One coach, 16 athletes and two contributors will be added to the MHS Hall of Fame. This year’s inductees include coach Steve Griffith, athletes Victor Sakellarios, Keith Whitehead, John Blencowe, Ben Hurst, Doug Sier, Will Holaday, Brent Haywood, Megan Morris Thacker, Ryan Collins, Brooke Moughon Paul, Garrett Fosdyck, Carl “CJ” Kelly, Mackenzie Moughon, Cody Kelly, James A. Pavik Jr. and Stuart Anderson Jr., and contributors John Lee Callis and Nelson Morris.
The event is open to the public, free of charge.
