High Tyde Trading & Tobacco, LLC, is the newest business at Tidemill Center, Route 17, Gloucester Point.
Owner Karla Street of Gloucester, opened the store Nov. 25. Previously, she owned a clothing store in Mansfield, Ohio.
Street said High Tyde sells a wide range of products, some made by one of her sisters, Amber Cook of Gloucester. Cook makes some of the clothing for sale at the shop, as well as cigar purses and jewelry.
The store stocks tobacco products and premium cigars, and offers rolling bulk tobacco to save customers money.
Shelves are filled with lip tattoos, jewelry, vintage beads from the 1950s, knives, cosmetics, lotions made with hemp oil, snacks and other items. Cook said she plans to offer free beading lessons at the shop, where beaders are welcome to sit and enjoy their hobby.
"We want this to be a place people will enjoy," Street said, where artists can drop by to paint on an easel and local guitarists can sit and play a few tunes.
