Hendrix completes Daffodil Festival poster collection

Every single Gloucester Daffodil Festival poster to ever exist is hanging in the home of Gloucester resident and D L Hendrix & Associates owner Doug Hendrix, a feat Hendrix recently achieved after two decades.
“I’m running out of walls,” said Hendrix.
In December, Hendrix received the last poster he needed to complete his collection from his good friend Virginia Carrington for his birthday. The 1993 poster by Ernest Johnson features a variety of daffodils growing in front of a log.
“I had been looking for a long time,” he said about the poster.
Hendrix had almost bought the poster for himself, but Carrington beat him to it by 15 minutes. “Somebody was selling their mother’s paintings,” said Hendrix.
Months later, he received the poster from Carrington and they pieced together what had happened.
“Either way, it got to me,” said Hendrix.
