Do you long to adopt all the homeless pets that need forever homes? We feel the same way, and the time is here to show a little love to your local animal shelter and rescue pets. From August 10-September 10, animal shelters across the country have teamed up with NBC and Telemundo stations with a monthlong “Clear the Shelters” pet adoption campaign. It’s a wonderful way to raise awareness about responsible pet ownership, while helping pets in need find loving homes.
Gloucester-Mathews Humane Society is excited to be participating in this year’s event. During the “Clear the Shelters” campaign, all pet adoptions fees will be reduced by 50 percent, so all new pet owners can spend more on toys and treats and supplies for their rescued best friend. To start the adoption process, you can stop by the shelter at 6620 Jackson Lane in Gloucester Tuesday-Sunday of each week from noon-5 p.m. You can meet all of the adoptable pets including cats, dogs, rabbits, guinea pigs, and other small animals. ...
