Helen B. Lombard, 101, of Orlando, Fla., passed away on Feb. 7, 2014.
She was born on Nov. 12, 1912 in Willowvale, N.Y. Helen was a nurse in the U.S. Air Force, serving in WWII. She did her schooling at Faxton Hospital School of Nursing, Utica, N.Y.
Helen and Joe were former owners of The Florida Diner, Chrystal’s and CNA Restaurant. She and her late husband, Joe, enjoyed traveling around the world. She spent many hours playing bridge with friends. As an avid reader her favorite authors were Nora Roberts and Barbara Bradford. She spent time tending to her Christmas cacti, roses and orchids.
Helen is survived by her sons, Joseph (Betty) Lombard Jr. and Robert (Tuy) Lombard; five grandchildren, Joey, Chris, Tiffany, Christopher and Sherry; 12 great-grandchildren, Kali, Logan, Leyton, Ryen, Shianne, Jonas, Joseph, Sophia, Evangeline, Lucy, Abigail and Brendan.
