The Virginia Department of Transportation is inviting the public to a hearing Tuesday night to learn more about an environmental study on a proposed project to replace the Robert O. Norris Jr. Bridge, which carries Route 3 traffic over the Rappahannock River between Lancaster and Middlesex counties.
The hearing will be held from 5-7 p.m. in the Lancaster Middle School auditorium, 191 School Street, Kilmarnock.
In case a backup meeting date is needed for inclement weather, the meeting will be held on Wednesday, Dec. 18, at the same time and location.
VDOT staff will deliver a presentation shortly after the meeting begins at 5 and will be available after the meeting through 7 p.m. to answer questions.
