Gloucester supervisors will hold two public hearings—including one to consider a proposal to rezone 13.72 acres in the county’s Abingdon Magisterial District to allow for the possibility of construction of a gas station/convenience store located north of Riverbend Apartments and Zandler Way—when the board meets at 6 p.m. Tuesday in the T.C. Walker Education Center.
Planners voted 5-2 to recommend denial of the rezoning case from Suburban Countryside (SC-1) to Business (B-1) when that board met on July 11.
The second public hearing is on amending an ordinance governing when a public utility may be disconnected due to nonpayment/delinquency.
Tuesday’s agenda also includes several presentations and other items.
Presentations for the evening include a General Assembly update by Del. Chad Green (R-York) and a resolution recognizing the Cook Foundation’s 25th Anniversary by board chairman Chris Hutson.
