Health Synergy, located at White Marsh Shopping Center, recently added several new products and services. These include far infrared light therapy, which is a treatment designed to improve a patient’s circulation, according to owner Mary Oney, a registered nurse and doctor of naturopathy who started the business about three years ago.

With far infrared light therapy, a client rests in a room on a mat filled with amethyst and tourmaline crystals with lights off and eyes covered with a cloth. Several chunks of amethyst are also placed in the room. In addition, a salt lamp is burning that has more than 80 different minerals. This treatment is said to help ease tension and depression, Oney said, with most clients reporting that they feel rejuvenated by a session.
