Haven Beach will be closed to the public beginning Monday for the placement of dredge material on the beach, the Mathews County Board of Supervisors announced this week.
Seaward Marine has completed construction of the breakwaters, said a press release, and will return to complete the dredging of Hole in the Wall channel.
The project is expected to take about a month, and access to the beach will not be permitted because of safety concerns and heavy equipment on the beach.
