Harris Automotive Repair recently opened its second Gloucester location.
Owner Byard Harris’s new shop is located at the newly-opened Ark Shell building on Route 17 near the Ark fire tower. He leases a two-bay garage, offering a full range of automotive services there.
Harris also continues to run a repair service on Fletcher Road near Woods Cross Roads. He has operated there for five years.
Harris opened his new shop on April 15 and offers routine maintenance such oil changes and front-end alignments, as well as engine repair. Also, he sells an assortment of new tires.
The Fletcher Road location offers auto mechanical work only, Harris said. Both shops repair cars and light trucks.
Harris is assisted by four mechanics. Franklin Wilson of Gloucester always works at the Fletcher Road shop, Harris said, while the other three mechanics rotate between the two shops as needed: Brian Cerny, Jeremy German and Ricky Copola, all of Gloucester.
