Harold Harmon Hockaday Jr., of Hayes, passed away suddenly on Sunday, June 19, 2011.

He was a lifelong resident of Gloucester County, and had worked on the water all of his life.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold H. and Margie Kellum Hockaday Sr.; a brother, Thomas Wayne Hockaday, and a sister, Betty Marie Hockaday Jones.

He is survived by his daughters, Stacy Marie Hockaday and Jennifer Hockaday McWhorter; his brothers, Raymond Hockaday and Donald Hockaday, and his grandchildren, Ryan, Austin, Caroline and Cassidy.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at 11 a.m. in Calvary Baptist Church.

Memorial donations may be made to the American Heart Association.
