Gloucester County’s Household Harmful Waste Collection Day will be held April 19 at Hayes Convenience Center, Guinea Road, from 9 a.m. until 3 p.m.
At this collection, Gloucester residents can dispose of the following items:
—Automobile hazardous waste: antifreeze, brake and transmission fluid, gasoline and batteries;
—Painting supplies: paints, thinners, epoxy and wood preservatives;
—Gardening/outdoor supplies: pesticides, herbicides, pool chemicals, etc.; and
—Household items: small propane canisters and propane tanks for grills, fire extinguishers, toxic household cleaners, drain cleaners, mercury, batteries, electronics, etc.
This collection happens twice a year, in April and again in October. Household Harmful Waste Collection Day is sponsored by Waste Management and Gloucester County Clean Community.
