Hands Across Mathews recently received a $2,300 donation from the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation, just in time to help feed local neighbors.
Hands Across Mathews will use the money to help local families who have unfulfilled needs because of low income, illness, loss of a job or unexpected expenses especially this year during the COVID-19 pandemic. In addition, Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation previously awarded an additional $2,000 to support the organization’s COVID-19 relief efforts.
“The Board of Directors and the Officers of Hands Across Mathews would like to thank the Food Lion Feeds Charitable Foundation for this generous gift,” said HAM president Joseph Noonan.
The Mission of Hands Across Mathews is to help local families who have suffered some crisis that puts them in need of the basic amenities of food, clothing, shelter, prescription medications or fuel.
