Hampton artist wins top award at Arts Festival

Holland Wentz Etheridge of Hampton won the award for Best Body of Work in the 2018 Juried Show of the Gloucester Arts Festival. This top prize brings a $2,000 stipend and opportunity for a future solo show at Arts on Main, the Gloucester gallery that hosted the juried show, a release said.
Awards of Excellence for specific works were presented to Tommy Fox of Kilmarnock for “Note to Self,” Robin Harris of Charlottesville for “Red or White,” and George Jennings of Tappahannock for “Stories to Tell.” Each winner received a stipend of $1,000.
In addition, Certificates of Merit for Body of Work were awarded to Nancy Topping Bazin of Norfolk, Victoria Martin of Henrico, Mary McCormack of Williamsburg, and Kathleen Noffsinger of Hartfield.
