Two coaches, nine athletes and three contributors will be inducted into the Mathews High School Hall of Fame at a ceremony Friday, beginning at 6 p.m. in the school’s Harry M. Ward Auditorium.
This year’s list of honorees includes girls’ tennis coach LaDonna Crain and crew coach Tim Ulsaker; athletes Kenny Morgan (Class of 1978, basketball), Paul Naglieri (Class of 1997, wrestling), Allen Safrit (Class of 1998, cross country/track), Lindsay Newell (Class of 1999, cross country/track), Chris Rogers (Class of 2004, soccer), Whittney Henry Sueda (Class of 2005, crew), Jonathan Dehoux (Class of 2006, baseball), Chris Davis (Class of 2012, football) and Kayla Robins (Class of 2013, softball); and contributors James “Jimmy” Robins (Class of 1969, football, softball and baseball), Gary Wade Sadler (Class of 1971, football, softball and baseball) and Freddie Dehoux (Class of 1975, baseball).
