Hailstones pummeled the Gloucester Court House area early Monday evening as a violent storm rolled through the area. “It hailed for close to half an hour,” said Gloucester resident Cheryl Slavnik. “I couldn’t go outside to get some of the bigger stones, as it was coming down so hard and the hail was so large … There were some hail stones as big as golf balls.” Here is a pile of hailstones with storm debris on Slavnik’s deck.
