The Gloucester Youth Football and Cheer League competition cheer team placed first in its division, earned the most spirited award and received a bid to compete in the national competition in Florida on Saturday at the Varsity JAMfest competition, which was held at the Hampton Roads Convention Center. The team has 13 members who have little to no cheer experience. Over the past two months, the Gloucester Cheetahs have worked to perfect their routine. The trip to nationals will cost about $18,000.
