GYF White Juniors fall in Super Bowl game, 12-0

Facing Back River in Saturday’s Peninsula Youth Football Association Super Bowl, the Gloucester White Knight Juniors came up just short, falling to the Panthers, 12-0.

Following the game, Devon Pullen and Jacob Puhlman were named the offensive and defensive players respectively for the Gloucester squad.

Offensive standouts for Gloucester included John-Nathan Walker (54 rushing yards), Pullen (44 rushing yards), Devin Honaker (28 rushing yards), Cody Brown (19 rushing yards), David Miller (six rushing yards and two completed passes) and Ethan Bryant (two receptions for 33 yards).

Miller and Puhlman were the leading tacklers with 11 and eight tackles, respectively. Other defensive leaders included Justin Clark (six tackles), Walker and Bryant (four tackles each), Honaker and Ethan Newell (three tackles each) and Michael Saunders, Jesse Timberlake and Brown (two tackles each). Bryant also had a blocked punt and fumble recovery, while Newell had a fumble recovery and a sack.
