The Gloucester Youth Football White Knight Juniors will play in Saturday’s Peninsula Youth Football Association Super Bowl, facing off against the Back River Panthers at 3 p.m. at Warhill Stadium in Williamsburg.
Gloucester advanced to the Super Bowl with a 24-12 win Saturday over Hampton, the same team that the White Knights lost to earlier in the season.
John-Nathan Walker led the offense with 171 rushing yards and two touchdowns. David Miller also scored two TDs, with 28 rushing yards and 25 passing yards. Ethan Bryant made two catches for 30 yards. Devin Pullen rushed for 19 yards.
David Miller led the defense with eight tackles and a fumble recovery. Other defensive standouts included Bryan (five tackles, one interception, one forced fumble), Jacob Puhlman, Cody Brown, Justin Clark, Walker (four tackles each), Ethan Newell, Jesse Timberlake and Pullen (three tackles apiece) and Brady Barefoot, Michael Saunders, Michael Schlemmer and Jeremiah Shores (two tackles each)...
