Gwynn’s Island is kicking off the holiday season with two special events, a barbecue dinner at the civic league and a family Christmas event at the museum.
The Gwynn’s Island Civic League will hold a BBQ dinner on Friday, Nov. 22, at 1996 Old Ferry Road. Take-out starts at 4:30 p.m., with dine-in from 5-7 p.m. Dinner will include pork barbecue, roll, baked beans, coleslaw, potato salad, and pumpkin pie. The cost is $15 per meal, cash or check.
Advance reservations are available by emailing GICivic LeagueBBQ@gmail.com, or purchases can be made at the door. The event is supported by Lynne Davenport/Richardson’s Cafe.
The next day, Saturday, Nov. 23, “Christmas Comes to the Gwynn’s Island Museum” will be held from 3-7 p.m. at 1775 Old Ferry Road.
