A funeral for Gwendolyn Ware Grandison, 72, of Yorktown, will be held at noon Thursday, July 19 in Newington Baptist Church, Gloucester. She died Friday, July 13, 2012.

She was preceded in death by her husband, William Leon Grandison; her parents, Abraham and Maggie Ware; four sisters, Margaret Moore, Gertrude Beverly, Dorothy Pardue, Mary Louise Monroe, and one brother, Stanley Ware Sr.

Survivors include four children, Veronica McCottrey, Hollis Christopher Diggs, Renatta Grandison Marble and Lee Ann Grandison; two sisters, Concidell Cosby and Beatrice Lee; two brothers, Alandus Ware and Robert Ware, and five grandchildren.

Viewing was held from 3-7 p.m. Wednesday in Forrest Brothers Funeral Home, Hudgins.

Burial will follow the service at Emmaus Baptist Church, North.
