Piankatank River Ladies’ Golf Association members Vicky Gunn, Nina Carter, Christy Pitts and Christi Lewis travelled to the Eastern Shore of Virginia to compete in a Virginia State Golf Association tournament on June 10-11.
The two-day event was held at the Bay Creek Resort & Golf Club located in Cape Charles. The golf club is home to 27 holes with two signature courses designed by Arnold Palmer and Jack Nicklaus.
Over 100 players competed for first, second, and third place for gross and net scores. On June 10, Gunn won first place net and Carter won second place net for the ladies. On the second day, Gunn won once again in a tie-breaker for second place net.
The VSGA is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a full range of services to golfers and golf clubs in Virginia.
