The annual Guinea Heritage Association Holiday Open House will be held from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday at the Buck’s Store Museum, Bena. The open house is free for the public to attend as it is GHA’s way to give back to the community during the holidays.
The family-friendly event will feature children’s activities and a visit from a special surprise guest. Guest can also enjoy free refreshments like Buck’s BBQ, Brunswick stew, clam chowder, desserts and more. There will be a Guinea cake sale during the festivities as well.
There will be a food drive to collect nonperishables for the Community Food Closet at Union Baptist Church, Achilles, and a toy drive for the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters to provide gifts to its patients. People at the open house can purchase museum goods including Christmas in Guinea T-shirts, mugs, cups and more.
