GSO investigating suspicious death of Gloucester infant

The Gloucester Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday evening that it is investigating the death of an infant discovered earlier in the day. The office said the death is suspicious.
The GSO said it responded to a residence in the 4200 block of Aberdeen Creek Road at approximately 1:40 p.m. Tuesday in reference to a female and her child who had not been heard from in an unusual length of time.
Upon entering the residence, officers found the female with severe injuries and her female infant child was discovered deceased. The GSO said the woman is in critical but stable condition and the cause of her injuries and cause of death to the infant are still under investigation.
As part of its investigation, the GSO said it is looking to speak to the woman’s husband, 60-year-old Dennis Chambers. Chambers is 5’5” tall and weighs 155 pounds. He has blond hair and blue eyes and was last seen at the residence in Gloucester around 7 a.m. Tuesday.
