A funeral service for Greta Joyce Alto, 56, of Gloucester, will be held at 2 p.m., Thursday, Dec. 29, in Newington Baptist Church, Gloucester. She died Dec. 26, 2016.

She was born at Fort Eustis and had been a lifelong area resident. She retired as a Human Resources Specialist at Fort Eustis in 2015 with 36 years of service. She was a member of Newington Baptist Church and its church choir.

Survivors include her husband, Lee Alto, and daughters, Shelby Alto and Leah Alto, all of Gloucester.

Pastor Michael Gray will conduct the service. A graveside service will take place at 11 a.m., Friday, Dec. 30, in Oakwood Cemetery, Charlottesville.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Newington Baptist Church.

Arrangements are by Weymouth Funeral Home.
