Gregory B. Jenkins, age 65, of Hayes, died at his home surrounded by his family on Sunday, June 4, 2023. Son of the late Reuben Lee and Barbara Jean Jenkins, and a native of Gloucester County, Gregory was a lifelong waterman who worked the local waters as well as traveling the Atlantic Sea as a commercial scalloper. He loved to listen to country music, and never turned down a good or challenging game of pool. He adored his family, especially his grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Lauren N. Felger (Adam) and Holly D. Jenkins-Baker (CJ), and grandchildren, Hannah, Savannah, Riley, Jacob Felger and Brentley McCook. He is also survived by his former wife of 36 years and lifelong best friend, Susan Haywood Jenkins. The family would like to honor his phenomenal hospice nurse, Sesly Jones with Traditions Hospice. A Celebration of Life service, conducted by Pastor Bill West, will be held at 6 p.m. on Friday, June 9, 2023, in the chapel of Hogg Funeral Home. The inurnment will be private.
