David Bristow, owner and director of Hogg Funeral Home in Hayes, will speak on Union Cemetery, located across Guinea Road from Union Baptist Church, in a talk on Friday, Jan. 26, at Buck’s Store Museum in Bena.
This is the first Fourth Friday presentation of 2024 at the museum. It is free and open to the public, starting at 6 p.m. The museum is located at 8850 Guinea Road.
On the topic, “The Graveyards of Guinea,” Bristow will focus on the old cemetery, answering questions such as What is the oldest grave in the cemetery? Is it a church cemetery? Who started it?
A question-and-answer period will follow.
