Grandmother is artist in the kitchen

Besides being an artist, creating paintings, window scenes, as active member in the Boston Terrier Club of Virginia, and sewing, Cindy Plessinger is also a very special artist in her kitchen. Just ask her family or the patrons who buy the homemade cinnamon rolls she bakes each week; they will assure you it’s true.
“My mom taught me to cook,” Cindy says with a smile. “I am the oldest of five children. Times were tough for our family so I learned how to use what we had on hand to make a meal. My mom’s specialties were chicken and dumplings and milk gravy on toast. But it was during my teenage years that I began to learn the joy of baking. My best friend, Sharon, along with her two sisters, and we would bake cakes together. They were always for the families and all our neighbors. My husband David claims he married me because of my cooking.”
