Mathews County Visitor and Information Center held the grand reopening of Sibley’s General Store, located at 239 Main Street, Saturday. A total of 465 people attended to enjoy the new and improved store, with live music by “Piankatank” and refreshments. Pictured are MCVIC President Bobbi Hatton and Executive Director Kat Larkin at the ribbon cutting. The building had been closed for months while an extensive renovation was undertaken, including raising the ca. 1898 building.
