Grace S. Canfield, age 90, of Gloucester, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, Feb. 12, 2023, surrounded by her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vic, and her son, Billy. She was a very loving mother to Pamela Snow of Gloucester, John Longden (Renee) of Texas, Gregory Longden (Melissa) of Tennessee, and sister to Betty Miller of Poquoson. She was “Mawmaw” to 12 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren. She had a kind, gentle heart. She loved family gatherings and to have flowers blooming all around her. She will be truly missed by all of her family. The family received friends at Hogg Funeral Home from 6-7:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023. A funeral service, conducted by the Rev. Dr. Richard Croxton, was held at Beech Grove Baptist Church on Wednesday, Feb. 15, 2023, at 11 a.m. followed by interment in the church cemetery.
