The Gloucester Rowing Association has started its season by competing in two different regattas, both held at Sandy Run Regional Park on the Occoquan Reservoir.
During the Darrell Winslow Regatta on April 5, Jacob Gross, Willis Redding, Tristan Buswell, Zach Hudson and coxswain Scarlett Morrison placed second in the Men’s Junior 4+ event. Ayden Duke, Paul Williams, Alex Meier and Josh Littlefield also took second place in the Men’s Junior 4X event.
Hannah McAllister and Dannie LaCosa placed third in the Women’s Junior 2X event. Jacob English, Blake Dorris, Joseph Boulay, Zackory Crowell and coxswain Jakob Johnson finished in fifth during the Men’s Novice 4+ event.
At the Ted Phoenix Regatta Saturday, Gross placed first in the Men’s Junior 1X event. Also in first place were McAllister and LaCosa in the Women’s Junior 2X event.
