Gordon M. Smith of Hayes, passed away on Aug. 24, 2022.

He is survived by his longtime friend and partner, Audrey M. Owens. Gordon passed away surrounded by his loved ones after a battle with chronic illnesses. He was preceded in death by his parents, Howell Smith and Ruth Smith; also, his brother, Bruce Smith; Sarah Koehler and Elsa Koehler. He loved his extended family, Drew Owens, David Owens, Allison Deeson, Shane Deeson, Ashley Deeson, Summer Deeson, Cameron Owens, Caleb Owens, Chloe Owens and Bella Owens. Gordon shared a special bond with Ashley Deeson because of her love, kindness, and compassion. The funeral was a private ceremony with only close family members present.
